Since 2010, The Nomad has earned its reputation as 'London's best outdoor cinema', popping up at an inspiring range of beautiful, curious and downright strange screening locations across London and beyond. And with The Nomad being a charitable organization, donating 100% of its profits to The Sustainability Institute in South Africa, it is almost certainly the most giving outdoor cinema too.
Returning for its third summer season, The Nomad is back with more dates, new venues, exciting collaborations and most importantly, its famously diverse and exciting programme of films from classic to cult, mainstream to musical and everything in between. Bringing films and locations to life, The Nomad offers an enchanting escape into a world of cinematic wonderments. Feast on fine films and fun times, along with a little touch of special, a sprinkle of silly, a huge basket of smiles, and a smattering of gifts. And this year, Nomad is turning everything up to eleven.
Beloved locations such as Queen's Park and Fulham Palace will see extra dates added due to last year's popular demand, and several exciting new locations have been scouted where more movie magic will be popping up as the Nomad rolls in with its wagon of wonders.

The opening credits start to roll on 14th July when the Nomad's summer season begins with an exciting new venture: for the first time this year, The Nomad will be providing the cinematic element of the Ealing Summer Festivals. 'Ealing Summer Screenings presented by Nomad' will bring together the origins of the Ealing Summer Festivals with a Musical Comedy series at Walpole Park, in a rather large and shapely Big Top bizarrely called 'Wonder Woman?s Knickers'! Kicking off with Jack Black's raucous comedy tribute to the transformative power of hard rock, 'School Of Rock' features on Sunday 14 July for a family friendly matinee, followed by the hilarious mockumentary 'This Is Spinal Tap' where the numbers all go to eleven - eleven, eleven, eleven. On Monday 15th July The Nomad welcomes, for one night only, Adam Buxton's Best of BUG: The Evolution of Music Video. One of the BFI's most popular and best-selling shows, BUG combines an awe-inspiring set of music videos, astounding online nuggets and a unique brand of sit-down comedy. This is not to be missed.
The fanfare for new ventures continues as Nomad teams up with children's charity Coram to host a joint-fundraising project and an intimate 4-weekly series based on 'Childhood, Lost and Found' for The Nomad at Coram's Secret Garden, supported by Imperial Hotels. This is where the magic of movies will really come alive with specially selected titles 'The NeverEnding Story', 'The Kid', 'The Lost Boys', and 'Where the Wild Things Are'.
Also new this season is an adventure to South London's Horniman Museum and Gardens in their glorious 16-acre grounds. As part of a Latin season developed to complement the Museum's own summer events programme, Nomad will be screening two magnificent Walter Salles films; 'The Motorcycle Diaries', the biopic of the memoirs and journey of a young Che Guevara; and 'Central Station' - the beautiful story of a young Brazilian boy's friendship with a jaded former school teacher.
And finally... North West London, the home of The Nomad's big sister The Lexi Cinema, gets a new location added in the lovely grounds of Willesden Sports Centre. What's more, this screening will be entirely voted for by you, the audience. What will you choose? Wizard of Oz, Dodgeball, Whip It, Chariots of Fire, orSkyfall? VOTE HERE
The Nomad is also very proud to announce a special year-round project with CREATE London and Barbicandeveloping a series of unique, site-specific Hitchcock screenings to begin this Autumn. Watch this space for further details of this very special collaboration to be announced soon, as well as news of more venues and screenings still currently under wraps.

The Nomad - the roaming pop-up cinema that gives back.
The Nomad is good for you: come to our events and know that you are contributing to a great cause. We give 100% of our profits go to our chosen charity, The Sustainability Institute, in South Africa. For more on The Sustainability Institute please visit sustainabilityinstitute.net
Nomad film events embrace and enhance each venue, offering new ways of seeing an uplifting range of films, from classics to cult, noir and silent, to mainstream guilty pleasures. Playful, mischievous and mysterious, The Nomad wanders into town, unpacks cinema magic, and then disappears into the night, leaving no trace.
The Nomad is the pop-up cinema with a difference: a very special festival atmosphere, and that little bit of Nomad magic make our events memorable and unique. More than just providing screenings of great films in appropriately great locations, Nomad events immerse you in the flavour of the film, with added elements such as music, themed decorations, quality catering and a warm friendly welcome?
The Lexi Cinema
The Nomad is the sister-company to one of West London's most cherished local cinemas The Lexi. The Lexi Cinema in Kensal Rise is the UK's first social enterprise boutique cinema, donating 100% of its profits to charity and staffed predominantly by local volunteers. Founded in 2008, The Lexi has built up a reputation for programming bespoke film events sprinkled with added value including celebrity introductions, goodie bags, treasure hunts, half-time shots of whiskey, massive remote controls, and many other ingenious bits of mischief. Local guerrilla marketing campaigns keep the people of Queens Park and Kensal Rise on their toes. The Lexi launched a membership scheme in Nov 2010, which has proved extremely popular for a small independent cinema. The Lexi's excellent value for money wines have been hand-picked by Tony Laithwaite himself (owner of Laithwaites Wines). Those who have tried the Malbec will testify! With a fantastic screen and a kicking sound system (actually one of the country's best), the beautiful cinema is chic and intimate, but can rival any of the big chains for technical quality.
